The plaque reads:

1802 — 1894

Spoken to the Ohio State legislature on February 6, 1852

This house is dedicated to the fraternal and cultural endeavors of freedom — loving Americans of Hungarian ancestry and to the living memory of Lajos Kossuth champion of liberty, fraternity and equality.
