Smoke Hole Caverns (SHC) is a picturesque show cave in Grant County in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.
SHC were opened to the public on 30 May 1940. They are located near the Smoke Hole Canyon from which the cave takes its name. They are located on WV 28 13 km west of Petersburg.
Local lore has it that the cave was utilized during Prohibition by moonshiners. There is only one entrance into the caverns which made it secure and with an ever present supply of fresh water it was a perfect place to produce moonshine. The cave also has an artesian well.]]>

Champe Rocks are a pair of large crags in Pendleton County in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, USA. Easily visible from West Virginia Route 28, they are situated within the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area. They are — along with the nearby and more celebrated Seneca Rocks — the most imposing examples in eastern West Virginia of several formations of the white/gray Tuscarora quartzite and are a popular challenge for rock climbers.
Champe Knobs, from which the Rocks emerge, are a northern extension of the River Knobs, which contain other similar "razorback" ridges or "fins" such as Judy Rocks at Judy Gap, and Nelson Rocks at Nelson Gap. Champe Rocks are 2,257 feet above sea level.]]>

Woodburn Circle, also known as W.V.U. Quadrangle, is a historic quadrangle associated with the West Virginia University and located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It consists of three buildings built in 1870, 1876, and 1893. It is a distinct group of structures on the downtown campus of West Virginia University.
Martin Hall: The oldest building is Martin Hall. It is a 2 1/2-story (plus basement) brick building in the Second Empire Eclectic style. It sits on a stone foundation and has a mansard roof with slate shingles and a wooden octagonal-columned cupola with an onion dome. It is named in honor of Rev. Alexander Martin, the first president of West Virginia University.
Woodburn Hall: Woodburn Hall was built between 1874 and 1876, and is a brick Second Empire style building. It has a mansard roof topped by a cupola and clock tower. Wings designed by Elmer F. Jacobs were completed in 1900 and 1911. Its name references Woodburn Female Seminary, a school originally located on the West Virginia University campus.
Chitwood Hall: Chitwood Hall, originally known as Science Hall, was built in 1893 and is a three-story brick building with a large arched front entrance. It has a slate shingled hipped roof with dormer. It was renamed in 1972, in honor of Dr. Oliver P. Chitwood.]]>

Third Ave., in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was built in 1914, and is a seven story, brick building in the Early Commercial style. The Beeches, also known as the Huntington-Skinner House and Woman's Club of St. Albans, is a historic home located at St. Albans, West Virginia. It was built about 1874 for Henry Edwards Huntington in the Italianate style. After its purchase in 1903 by locale magnate J. V. R. Skinner, the two story home was transformed with a mix of formal interior and exterior details and additions. It commands an excellent view of Kanawha Terrace, a principal street of St. Albans, atop a hill that descends in a gentle slope shaded with trees and shrubbery.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Charleston is an Amtrak station in Charleston, West Virginia, served by the Cardinal. The station was originally owned by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway. In September 2010, the station was purchased by General Corporation, a commercial real estate company based in Charleston. The station is located on the south bank of the Kanawha River, opposite downtown Charleston which lies on the north bank. Much of the station's outdoor space is covered by the South Side Bridge which allows both vehicular and pedestrian traffic to access the downtown areas. A fine dining establishment, Laury's Restaurant, occupies much of the station's interior.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 as the Chesapeake and Ohio Depot and part of the South Hills Multiple Resource Area. It is a two-story, brick and stone structure in the Neo-Classical Revival style. The facade features a shallow pavilion of paired Roman Doric columns facing the Kanawha River. Fort New Salem located in Salem, West Virginia is a frontier settlement of nineteenth century log structures in West Virginia, adjacent to Salem International University. Salem was originally settled in 1792 by a group of Seventh Day Baptist families from Shrewsbury, NJ. English, Welsh, Scotch-Irish and German farm culture shaped the traditions that dominated the region until the development of energy and mineral resources brought a wave of immigration into the area. Fort New Salem is a living history outdoor museum interpreting the history, crafts and lifestyles of the area. Historically, among the numerous seasonal activities held at the fort is "The Spirit of Christmas in the Mountains". This nationally recognized event is a joyous celebration of the traditional folk-ways found in observance of Christmas in West Virginia. Fort Randolph was an American Revolutionary War fort which stood at the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers, where the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, is now located.
Built in 1776 on the site of an earlier fort from Dunmore's War, the fort is best remembered as the place where the famous Shawnee Chief Cornstalk was murdered in 1777. The fort withstood attack by American Indians in 1778 but was abandoned the next year. It was rebuilt in the 1780s after the renewal of hostilities between the United States and American Indians, but saw little action and was eventually abandoned once again. Two centuries later, a replica of the fort was built nearby.]]>

Cheat Lake Dam is located directly south of the Mason-Dixon Line border with Pennsylvania. The dam is run by eleven employees and has a generating capacity of 52 megawatts (70,000 hp). The power plant is a tall one-story, limestone building on a high stone foundation. It is five bays long and has a gable roof. The building is built into a hillside, so the main floor is the top floor. The power plant was originally built by the Martinsburg Electric Company.
