There are at least three other Lady Liberties in Paris - one in the Jardins de Luxembourg, and one inside Arts et Metiers next to a full-scale replica of her hand.

Also, the Maltese Falcon was not actually filmed here, it was all done in Hollywood. Well, at least the 1941 version was - I have never seen the 1931 version.
I figured out the answer for the old image tiles a while back, by measuring the shadow of the Campanile. That narrowed it down to a few days, only one of which was a football day.
It would be harder to use this technique on the new tiles because the Campanile's shadow doesn't fall on level ground, but perhaps some other pointy landmark could be found.
I saw that article about the sinking, but I think that was a different dredge. It sounded like that one was still in operation, while this one has been idle since 1967.
