The Boeing 747 is a wide-body commercial airliner and cargo transport aircraft, often called a Jumbo Jet. One of the world’s most recognizable aircraft, first flown commercially in 1970 with Pan Am, the 747 held the passenger capacity record for 37 years. The 747-400 passenger version can accommodate between 416 (three classes) and 660 (one class) passengers.
