United Nations Square is a in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The square covers 9.88 acres and has extensive green areas. It's near the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires and the state-owned TV channel Televisión Pública. In the 70s, the Argentinian government planned for the site the construction of the Altar of the Fatherland, a mausoleum.

In the center of the square stands the "Floralis Genérica" sculpture. It was gifted to the city by the Argentinian architect Eduardo Catalano and inaugurated on 4/13/2002.

As-Salt, AKA Salt, is an ancient trading city and administrative center in west-central Jordan. It's on the old main highway leading from Amman to Jerusalem. Situated in the Balqa highland, about 790–1,100 m above sea level, the city is built in the crook of 3 hills, close to the Jordan Valley. 1 of the 3 hills, Jabal al-Qal'a, is the site of a 13th-century ruined fortress. It's the capital of Balqa Governorate of Jordan.

In 2021, the city was inscribed at the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The Continental Divide passes within 13 km south of the community. Presidente Alemán Social Housing

Designed after winning a state competition in 1947, Mario Pani’s Centro Urbano Presidente Alemán offered 1,080 apartments arranged in a vast superblock in southern Mexico City. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s housing concepts, but carefully adapted to Mexican climate and everyday life, the project combined maisonette apartments, exterior access corridors and generous green spaces with collective facilities such as a nursery, a kindergarten, shops, a public launderette and a swimming pool. The façades are articulated through raw concrete frames with red brick infill, a material choice intended to reduce maintenance while giving the ensemble a distinct architectural identity.

Mario Pani Darqui was a Mexican architect and urbanist. He was one of the most active urbanists under the Mexican Miracle, and gave form to a good part of the urban appearance of Mexico City.

Monastiraki Square

Monastiráki, ("little monastery") is a flea market neighborhood in the old town of Athens, and is 1 of the main shopping districts in the city. The area is home to clothing boutiques, souvenir shops and specialty stores, and is a major tourist attraction in Athens and Attica for bargain shopping. The area is named after Monastiraki Square, in turn named for the Church of the Pantanassa that's within the square. The main streets of this area are Pandrossou Street and Adrianou Street.

The square was featured in a Detour in Leg 9 of The Amazing Race 38. In "Music in the Air", teams had to bring a crank-operated piano called a laterna to the square and earn 10 euros from passersby to receive their next clue.

Klafthmonos Square

This is the center of what is called the Historical Center of Athens. In the center of the square once stood the Mint, designed by Christian Hansen in 1835. Before its demolition in 1939, on order of C. Kotzias, this building housed the Ministry of Finance. The name of the square (derived from an ancient Greek word, meaning "weeping") originated in 1878 when Demetrios Kambouroglou called it the Garden of Klafthmonos. He did this humorously, as the Mint was the gathering place for those individuals who, after an election in which the opposition won, were now former civil servants. Here they moaned their fate with fellow victims.

The current Municipal Palace was inaugurated on September 14, 1953, with José Manuel Alcántara Rocafort being mayor and is located in the Plaza de Armas. Its construction led to the transfer from the previous building, located in the Canton of Molins, which was later demolished.

Throughout history, the Ferrol city council met in different locations, including the current building that houses the Afundación headquarters, located in the Plaza de la Constitución

Juana Azurduy de Padilla was a guerrilla military leader from Chuquisaca, Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata (now Sucre, Bolivia). She fought for Bolivian and Argentine independence alongside her husband, Manuel Ascencio Padilla, earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was noted for her strong support for and military leadership of the indigenous people of Upper Peru. Today, she is regarded as an independence hero in both Bolivia and Argentina.

It's a shame there are no current Street View images of this structure, it's quite amazing. The Center is dedicated to folklore and vallenata music, a music style recently designated by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Colombia and that takes its name from the capital of the Department of Cesar, Valledupar. Like a great tree, the building is designed elevated, generating under it a sheltered space, protected from the sun and the rain, for the use of parrandas (a traditional carnival-like street fair or block party), flea markets and other popular events complementary to the ones inside the building. The elevated floors house the main areas of the building - a great Hall with the reception of the center, the Vallenato Museum and a large and versatile assembly hall with capacity for up to 1,200 people.

The Central Square in the southern Kazakhstan city of Aralsk is to the north of the harbour area which flourished when the city was still on the shores of the Aral Sea.

The square is somewhat barren in appearance, but it does contain some interest monuments including the city’s war memorial.

The war memorial has a statue of an obviously bereaved Kazakh woman in front of 2 metal pillars. The approach to the memorial is through an avenue which is dedicated to the Soviet Heros from the local area.

The other monument of special note is the one which honours local mothers who have produced a heroically large number of children. At the centre of this monument is a silver-coloured statue of a women who holds in her right hand a laurel wreath and in her left hand is cradling a baby.

The city’s main administrative buildings are grouped together around the edge of the square.

This memorial complex was opened by the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, approximately on 6th October 2014, Memorial Day.

The complex has been designed to honour those who died in the Ashgabat Earthquake in 1948, the battel near Goek Depe and to honour victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

Monuments in the complex include Bakry sohrat (Eternal Glory), Milletin orgullary (Sons of the Nation) and Ruhy Tagzym (dedicated to the victims of Ashgabat Earthquake in 1948.

The complex also houses a museum “Watan mukaddesligi” (The sanctity of the homeland).

The complex has a large paved square but also has lawns, flowerbeds, fountains, benches and decorative lamps.

Cambridge Common is a public park owned and managed by the Cambridge Development Department in Cambridge, MA.

Cambridge Common which covers approximately 16 acres is roughly triangular and is bounded by, Garden Street, Massachusetts Avenue and Waterhouse Street.

The park has a playing field, lawns, trees, pathways, historic monuments, and the Alexander W. Kemp Playground which was completely re-built in 2009. It provides an important local resource for people in the neighbourhood and is an excellent place for those who want to relax under a tree on in the sun.

Berkely Square Gardens is a public park owned and Managed by the City of Westminster Council.

The Gardens were first enclosed in 1747 at the time when the buildings around the square were being built.

The Gardens is a good example of a formal London square and boast 4 equally sized lawn area and a number of mature London Plane trees.

The square is named for the Berkeley family whose London home was nearby before the square was developed.
