The former Benham Theater opened in 1923. It has found new life as a live venue operating as the Coal Miners Memorial Theater. Not a lot of information on this, but the thing to understand is that for well over 200 years, coal mining was the industry in Kentucky. Most of America thinks of these people as backwards country hicks because haven't really "moved on" with the 20th and 21st Century. But these people are what's known as "Salt of the Earth", which is good people.

The Lacey Street Theatre building, now hosting the Fairbanks Ice Museum, is an Art Deco architectural showpiece theatre located at 500 Second Avenue in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was designed by noted theatre designer B. Marcus Priteca, and built in 1939 by C.W. Hufeisen for Austin E. "Cap" Lathrop, one of a chain of movie theaters built by Lathrop across Alaska, and one of only two in Fairbanks into the 1960s. It opened on January 25, 1940. It closed in December 1980, and was repurposed as a museum of ice sculpture in 1992.

Tōeizan Kan'ei-ji Endon-in - 東叡山寛永寺円頓院 - is a Tendai Shinto temple in Tokyo, Japan, founded in 1625 during the Kan'ei era by Tenkai, in an attempt to emulate the powerful religious center Enryaku-ji, in Kyoto. Tenkai wanted to create a powerful religious center and, to achieve that, he built Kan'ei-ji imitating Enryaku-ji.

The temple grounds is the GREEN area, the temple itself is the RED area.

Zvartnots Cathedral is a medieval Armenian cathedral Zvartnots, Armenia. Built in the seventh century and now lying in ruins, it was noted for its circular exterior structure, unique in medieval Armenian architecture, and a set of interior piers that upheld a multifloor structure crowned with a dome. Zvartnots was built during the first Muslim Arab raids to capture and conquer the territories of Byzantine and Sasanian Armenia. Zvartnots stood for 320 years before collapsing in the tenth century; by the time the eleventh-century historian Stepanos Taronetsi mentioned the church in his Universal History the cathedral was already in ruins. How it collapsed is still debated, though most argue for one of two theories: an earthquake or attacks arising from repeated Arab raids.

The House of Perkūnas is a Gothic located in the Old Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. Originally built by Hanseatic merchants and served as their office from 1440 until 1532, it was sold in the 16th century to the Jesuits who had established a chapel there in 1643. The house was rebuilt in the 19th century and served as a school and theater, which was attended by Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. At the end of the 19th century it was renamed the "House of Perkūnas", when a figure, interpreted by the romantic historians of that time as an idol of the Baltic pagan god of thunder and the sky Perkūnas was found in one of its walls. Today, the house of Perkūnas once again belongs to the Jesuits and houses a museum of Adam Mickiewicz.

Zane Grey (January 31, 1872 – October 23, 1939) was a popular American author best known for his adventure novels and Western genre stories. Grey lived and worked in the house sporadically from around 1905 until his death in 1939. Grey's wife, Lina sold the house in 1945. Zane and Lina are buried not far from the house.

The house became a museum in 1973, National Register of Historic Places in 1983, with the Park Service taking it over in 1989.

Its creation was imagined by Léopold Sédar Senghor at the end of the first World Festival of Negro Arts in 1966. The project was deepened in the 1970s , but does not work. Its construction was announced in 2009 by Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade who laid the first stone on December 20, 2011, in the presence of the Chinese ambassador to Senegal. Due to the political alternation, work on the building did not really begin until December 2013 and was completed in December 2015.

The Mid-West and East Coast have a hundred years on us, these places came to be while the West Coast was still a savage territory. Many towns in the Rust Belt have faded from their once prosperous glory. Brownsville, Pennsylvania, is one of those towns. They barely survive and exist today, with desolate business districts that could be out of The Twilight Zone or an apocalyptic movie.

The Brownsville Flatiron Building houses the local Historical Society and Museum. Directly across the street are derelict abandoned buildings that sadly cry for their prosperous past.

The new museum opened its doors in 2022 in a modern building, designed specifically for the Ethnographic Museum for the first time in its history, which meets both the professional requirements of the 21st century and the needs of visitors. As part of the Liget Budapest Project , a dynamic and modern building was built on the former parking lot of the Fifty-six Memorial on the 56th Square in Budapest, on both sides of the Fifty-six Monument, which will give the collection a new home on 33,000 square meters. The simple, curved building was created by the Hungarian architectural firm NAPUR Architect, selected in an international design competition. 60% of the building is located below ground level, and there is a green area on the roof that serves as a community space for visitors. The museum building also serves as a kind of gateway, as it is here that the urban fabric meets the City Park, and visitors can enter not only the museum but also the City Park.

The origins of the museum date back to 1923-1925 when the collection began in an outdoor display on the southern side of the current government seat building. The Fort Rock Valley Historical Society founded in 1981 with eight charter members conceived the Homestead Village which opened with two buildings in 1988. In the ensuing years more land was acquired from the BLM and more buildings were brought in from surrounding homestead sites. Many of the buildings were considered hazardous to open range cattle and were scheduled to be put to the torch. Without the dedication and perseverance of the Fort Rock Historical Society's members there would be very little evidence of the life and time of this chapter in Oregon history.

Rosson House

Rosson House, at 113 N 6th St at the corner of Monroe St in Downtown Phoenix, is a historic house museum in Heritage Square. It was built between 1894 & 1895 in the Stick-Eastlake - Queen Anne Style of Victorian architecture and was designed by San Francisco architect A. P. Petit, his final design before his death. Named for Dr. Roland Lee Rosson and his wife Flora Murray Rosson, the house changed hands numerous times before being purchased by the city and restored to its original condition.

The house was added to the NRHP on 6/3/1971.

The Champ was installed in 1989 and stands 27 feet tall. The sculpture is by Edd Hayes.

In the 17th century, Versailles was booming and Louis XIV endowed the town with a "house of charity" run by the Daughters of Saint-Vincent de Paul. It mainly cared for workers on the building sites of the Château de Versailles and its outbuildings. In 1720, Louis XV made it a royal hospital. To meet the hospital's growing needs, Louis XVI commissioned Versailles architect Charles-François Darnaudin (1741-1793) to undertake a complete reconstruction. It is to him that we owe the current appearance of this architectural jewel. Work on the chapel was suspended during the French Revolution and continued from 1781 to 1859.

Since 22 July 1980, the chapel has been listed as a historic monument in its entirety, along with the façades and roofs of the main buildings.

Following the transfer of hospital activities to Le Chesnay in 1981 and the complete cessation of activities in 1997, the buildings were disused for many years. This neglect led to extensive damage and even destruction caused by three successive fires, the most recent in 2009.

By deciding to restore the Royal Hospital and its historic chapel and open them to the public from 2015, the City of Versailles has chosen to create a prestigious cultural facility.

The Espace Richaud, dedicated to heritage and contemporary art exhibitions, offers a wide range of events: exhibitions, concerts, conferences, shows, etc. Each temporary exhibition has its own specific cultural programme.

Its different spaces, spread over two levels, allow a wide range of combinations in the service of creativity and heritage enhancement. With this in mind, the Espace Richaud is now offering guided tours of the building's history and architecture.
