This is the county courthouse for Martin County, MN. The building is located on the western side of the city of Fairmont, on a hill overlooking Lake Sisseton. It's a Beaux Arts building featuring a high copper dome with 4 clock faces. The 1st floor was made out of Michigan sandstone. The 2nd and 3rd stories are built of Bedford limestone. The arched entrance is flanked by polished double Corinthian order columns and topped by a pediment.

This clock consists of 3 interconnected systems: the timing mechanism that keeps time and powers the clock hands, a striking mechanism that sounds the quarter-hours, and another striking mechanism that sounds the full hours. The timing mechanism is sensitive to changes in temperature. When the weather is cold, the clock runs a few minutes behind; When it’s hot, the clock runs a few minutes ahead.

The recently renovated Seacombe Ferry Terminal, which reopened in October 2022 after a 2-year multi-million-pound upgrade, was the starting point for the first municipal bus service in the town of Wallasey which commenced on 3rd April 1920.

The terminal building features an impressive square multi-faced clock tower in the Art Decco style constructed in brick.

The Seacombe Ferry Terminal is operated by Mersey Ferries and connects the Wirral with Liverpool on the opposite bank of the river Mersey.

Jens Olsen's World Clock at Copenhagen City Hall

Jens Olsen, a locksmith and clockmaker in Copenhagen, created this master piece of an advanced astronomical clock from 1943 with planning from 1934-1936. He died 1945, 10 years before it was completed by his closest employee Otto Mortensen.
It's the most precise mechanical clock in the World, only atomic clocks are more precise.
1995 a tourist noticed that the clocks astronomical part was not showing the right positions. That was a result of the pollution in the air of Copenhagen. It took two years to clean it.
It has 12 works with 14,448 parts, the gears are gold plated. The slowest gear turn one round in 25.753 years, the fastest in 10 seconds.

The clock shows the following:
Middle Eastern European Time.
Middle solstice, True sunshine and startime for Copenhagen as well as the time equation and the combination of time equation and locale constant.
Middle Ages for various geographical longitude.
The stars' meridian passages as well as the ups and downs.
Accuracy and their impact on the rise and fall of the stars.
Sun's meridian passages as well as ups and downs.
The phases of the moon.
The geocentric lengths of the sun and the moon.
Moon lane rental and and in conjunction with it, times for future solar and moon eclipses.
The length of the moon lane.
The great planets distance to the sun.
A fully automatic Gregorian calendar, each New Year's Eve at 00:00, calculates all the chronological elements of this calendar, as well as concepts such as solar circle, dictionaries, gold numbers, epitems and search letters, then weekdays and floating holidays in the coming year (Easter, Pentecost, etc.) are marked in the calendar .
Year, day of week, date, month and day of the 7980-year-old Julian period.

The clock and figures dates back to the 16. century. The clock itself is a 24 hour clockface (2x12 in two halves) with only one hand.
The figures are Prince George and the Dragon, Kirsten Kimer and Per Døver.
When Prince George steeps and hits the dragon with his sword the dragon screams. Kirsten Kimer hits the bell as quarter signals while Per Døver hits the hours.

Normal clocks goes from 1 to 12 but in Solothurn it's different. The 12 is missing. Nobody really knows but some say it goes back into the middle ages.
The number 11 is very common in Solothurn. The St. Ursus Cathedral has 11 bells and 11 altars and it took 11 years to build.

The Santa Catalina Arch is 1 of the distinguishable landmarks in Antigua Guatemala, on 5th Ave N. Built in the 1600s, it originally connected the Santa Catalina convent to a school, allowing the cloistered nuns to pass from 1 building to the other without going out on the street. A clock on top was added in the era of the Central American Federation, in the 1830s. The Guatemala Post Office Building in Guatemala City is based on this arch.

The Prague astronomical clock is the oldest astronomical clock still working and the third oldest astronomical clock in existence. The mechanical clock was and astronomical dial were installed in 1410 by clockmakers Mikuláš of Kadaň and Jan Šindel.

The clock features the zodiac, a calendar, animated figures (Vanity, greed, death and lust and the 12 Apostles appear on the hour).

Dub and BJ Riter Milennium Carillon Tower and Plaza

Completed in 2001. With 57 bells, it is the largest carillon in Texas and is the 15th largest in the nation. The tower was built by the Verdin Company with a $1.35 million dollar gift from Mr. and Mrs. A.W. "Dub" Riter Jr. All playing is done on a keyboard in a separate building.

The carillon tower is 16 feet wide on each side at the base and stands 80 feet from the ground to the main cornice above the clock with a cap section standing 8 feet above that. The tower houses 57 clear-tone bronze bells cast at a foundry in the Netherlands and the carillon is anchored by one low-note bell weighing more than 2,000 pounds.

The plaza features many ornamental bushes that are local fixtures (azaleas and rose bushes) and there are several benches for sitting and enjoying the carillon courtyard.

This three story, octagonal, Victorian, Gothic-style Clock Tower was built in 1883 and was the Port Captain’s first office in the newly constructed harbour.

The Clock Tower was also known as the Dock Clock or Tide Gauge Tower; its original colour was white. This icon of the old docks was restored in 1997, when it was painted Red. In 2013 it was repainted Yellow for Cape Town World Design Capital 2014.

The Clock Tower in Venice is an early renaissance building on the north side of the Piazza San Marco at the entrance to the Merceria. It comprises a tower, which contains the clock, and lower buildings on each side. It adjoins the eastern end of the Procuratie Vecchie. Both the tower and the clock date from the last decade of the 15th century, though the mechanism of the clock has subsequently been much altered. It was placed where the clock would be visible from the waters of the lagoon and give notice to everyone of the wealth and glory of Venice. The lower two floors of the tower make a monumental archway into the main street of the city, the Merceria, which linked the political and religious centre (the Piazza) with the commercial and financial centre (the Rialto). Today it is one of the 11 venues managed by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

After being relocated a few times, Ringwood Clocktower has ended up here. A quaint timepiece with a nice chime that I can hear from here when the wind is blowing the right way. It is also a memorial to Ringwoods veterans, war victims, heros and ordinary men and women who did extraordinary thing's. Rememberance and ANZAC day dawn service ceremonies are held here with hundreds turning up in the dark, chill morning air.

Destined for Egypt in 1889, the market's French-built minarets became Haiti's when the sale to a Cairo train station fell through and President Florvil Hyppolite bought the massive cast iron structures as part of his plan to modernize the city.

One side was destroyed in a 2008 fire. The January 12 2010 earthquake leveled the rest.

It has been rebuilt and opened January 2011.

The Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower is a campanile located in Chancellor's court at the University of Birmingham in the West Midlands of England. It is the tallest free-standing clock tower in the world, although its actual height is the subject of some confusion. The university lists it as both 110 metres (361 ft) and 325 feet (99 m) tall, whereas other sources state that it is 100 metres (328 ft) tall.

The tower was built to commemorate Joseph Chamberlain, the first Chancellor of the University, although one of the original suggested names for the clock tower was the 'Poynting Tower', after one of the earliest professors at the University, Professor John Henry Poynting. The nicknames Old Joe, Big Joe, as well as "Big Lid", or simply The Clock Tower are used by the student population and local residents. A prominent landmark in Birmingham, the grade II listed tower can be seen for miles around the campus, and has become synonymous with the University itself. There is a superstition, not taken entirely seriously, amongst students that if they stand under the tower when it strikes they will fail their exams.

The Rayner Memorial Clock Tower stands in front of the Town Hall in Bulkeley Square, Llangefni, Isle of Anglesey, Wales. It is a Grade II listed building. The tower was built in 1902 and designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. It was erected in memory of George Pritchard Rayner who died in Bloemfontein Hospital in 1900.
