In May 1990, Dag Drollet, the Tahitian lover of Brando's daughter Cheyenne, died of a gunshot wound after a confrontation with Cheyenne's half-brother Christian here at Brando's house at 2840 N. Beverly Drive.

The murder site has since been demolished and this new house built in 2010. The new mansion is owned by billionaire Steve Udvar-Hazy.
