Located in Upper Ferntree Gully on the extreme eastern edge of Melbourne. The Loyalty Theatre was opened as a cinema in 1939. It had a modest Art Deco style design, and seating in the single floor auditorium for 364.

Grew up in Upwey, the next village up the road. Had many great nights at the flicks at The Loyalty in the late ‘50s. From memory a mate’s dad owned it and he had a Ford Fairlane station wagon painted cream,black and pink. So cool.
