The M19C race car is seen on display at the McLaren Technology Centre.

It was driven in 1972-73 by New Zealander Denny Hulme. It introduced a few new safety features including a six-point harness belt, brake cooling ducts, and an engine kill switch. It was nicknamed "The Alligator Car" for its long nose and bulging mid-section.
