2001-2003 Acura 1.7 EL

2001-2003 Acura 1.7 EL

Quebec, Canada (CA)
For 2001, the Canada-exclusive Acura EL, which means "Entry-Level", referring to its position in the Acura lineup, had a major redesign as its platform was moved to the then-current 7th generation Honda Civic, and its engine was replaced with the 127 hp 1.7 liter D17A2 SOHC 4-cylinder which produced more torque than the previous generation. This was also the last EL to have its displacement indicated before the name, in which starting in 2004 and also applying for 2005 models, it would be simply known as "EL".
