The F50 generation of the Infiniti Q45 was the first production car sold outside of Japan to have voice-activated navigation controls and a reverse parking camera, 10 years after the 1991 Toyota Soarer introduced these features in said country. It was also more performance-oriented than the Y33 with a 4.5 liter V8 producing 340 horsepower, yet it remained a slow seller due to the questionable prestige of Infiniti despite being an upmarket division from Nissan.
