2004-2006 Toyota Camry Solara XV30 Convertible

2004-2006 Toyota Camry Solara XV30 Convertible

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (PA), US
While the XV30 Camry began production in 2001 for the 2002 model year, it wasn't until July 2003 when the Camry Solara moved onto the chassis of the then-current Camry, and when Toyota moved its production to its Georgetown, Kentucky facility. Convertibles followed in February 2004, and were only available with the 3.3 liter V6 paired with a 5-speed automatic with a Multi-Mode Transmission; only the coupes had a 2.4 inline-4 and a manual option. Both engines now had the VVT-i technology. While the body was heavier than the previous generation, Toyota explained that this generation was built to correct the structural rigidity problems from the XV20.
