The Toyota Matrix M-Theory was a special-edition Matrix limited to 2,500 units equipped with 17" Caldina alloy wheels, a chrome exhaust tip, four-wheel disc brakes, a sport-tuned suspension and a strut tower brace, all adding $1,500 to the base MSRP. The M-Theory is front-wheel drive only as the AWD and hot hatch XRS configurations of the Matrix have been axed after 2006, so like the Matrix's XR and the Corolla's S trims, the M-Theory was little more than an appearance package coming in an exclusive Speedway Blue color.
