Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch

This is the $30 Million artificial wave pool developed by 11 time world champion surfer Kelly Slater. The plan to develop the perfect wave machine started in 2006 and took ten years to perfect, culminating in the Surf Ranch located in the city of Lemoore in the San Joaquin Valley in central California, nearly 100 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The Kelly Slater Wave Company has plans to develop other man made wave pools around the globe, the first being in La Quinta, California in the Coachella Valley as part of the Coral Mountain resort.
