George Floyd was an African-American man who died on May 25, 2020, after Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for at least 7 minutes while he was handcuffed and lying face down on the road, including about 4 minutes after Floyd stopped moving.

Those Cops did not do anything wrong, Mr Floyd was arrested for violating and effectively robbing the store (passing conterfeit currency is a federal offense, and he did so on two different occasions). Mr Floyd died in a hospital from a drug overdose, after pulling the race card, which many Blacks have become accustomed to do.
There is much racism on both sides of the American racial line, it is not just whitey being nasty. As Dr. Walter E. Williams, said, it is time for everyone to move on, slavery happened a long time ago and it was the US Whites that abolished US slavery.
While it is also true that police often shoot first and ask questions later if anyone is alive to ask, it is a policy that shall change, yet there are many Blacks that are being violent during their many acts of crime. Police are just people too, and they work with the slimeballs of society, it wears on them, they are not perfect, yet society demands that they be perfect all the time. Be wok, it ain't going to happen. People need to change, focus on love, we are all in this together and no one gets out alive.
Separate autopsies have confirmed Mr. Floyd's death to be a homicide. The officer involved has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and manslaughter. He kneeled on Floyd's neck for nine and a half minutes and suffocated him to death on the pavement then and there.
Regardless of the crime Floyd committed in using a counterfeit bill, he did not deserve to be killed. The police need to be held to a standard that they only use deadly force as a last resort to prevent imminent bodily harm.
We need to as a country hold law enforcement officers to higher standards and to not always give them the benefit of the doubt, especially as time and time and time again, hard evidence such as body camera footage shows that they respond with disproportionate violence towards individuals, usually people of color, who are not posing a threat to anyone around them.
I believe that the majority of police officers are not explicitly bigoted individuals, but that there is a system around them that protects them from the repercussions of their wrongdoing and puts the onus on their victims to accept the blame of what happened to them.
If we keep up this policy of shoot first and ask questions later, and keep assigning law enforcement officers to be social workers and mental health professionals, we are going to keep witnessing incidents of police brutality and lack of accountability, and more people, especially black and brown individuals, will keep feeling oppression and subjugation under a society that focuses more on policing issues than on working on the underlying structural problems in this country.
Innocent - Floyd was the criminal.
