The Indian Wells Masters is an annual tennis tournament held in the small city of Indian Wells, California. The official sponsored name of the event is currently the Pacific Life Open. The tournament is played in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden (built in 2000) which has 20 tennis courts, including the 16,100-seat main stadium and two smaller stadiums.

For at least one night this is a professional basketball stadium. October 9, 2010, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the Phoenix Suns here. You don't usually get to see blimp views of an NBA game so this is kinda neat.

High school basketball games between Palm Desert HS and La Quinta HS were held here on Oct. 9, 2009, and on Oct. 7, 2010.
