Belcourt Castle (1891-1894) is a 60-room mansion designed by Richard Morris Hunt for a bachelor Oliver Hazard Perry Belmont, who inherited 60 million dollars from his father August Belmont, American Rothschild banking representative. Belcourt Castle is the only Newport museum house with the owner, Mrs. Donald Tinney, in residence. She often greets visitors when she is home.

This house was featured in a documentary about the elder MS Tinney marrying a young man and how close he came to swindling the home from it's owners.

No, it was featured in a show (and numerous news pieces) which covered the elder Mrs Tinney *adopting* a not-so-young man (in his 30s) and how close he came to swindling the home from its owners (her late son and her daughter-in-law, the current Mrs Tinney).

The home is the location of the October 2019 wedding of Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney.
