The president of Los Angeles based menswear and fragrance store Bernini, Yousouf Tar, owned this estate. His property, locally known as the Tar Estate, has been the venue for numerous fundraisers for many different organizations.
In real estate listings it has been known as Château d'Or.
Yousouf Tar sold the house to James Tan & Liping Liu at the beginning of 2013 for $18.2 million, and the couple put the house subsequently on sale in October 2013 for $26,995,000.
