Great find! When you discover a map like this, the story behind it usually comes weeks or months later (if at all), when someone who knows the story weighs in. In the mean time, if anyone knows of a news article detailing the events of this particular house, feel free to post it.

A google news archive search turned up a snippet from a Lexington Herald Leader article...
Feb. 20, 2007 - "Fire damaged a Nicholasville home in an affluent neighborhood on Avenue of Champions yesterday afternoon, officials said. It started near a garage on one ..."
It costs three bucks to read the rest of the article, if anyone is interested.

On streetview, it shows a new home being constructed, but I can't find out the date that was taken.
