Demolished railroad roundhouse foundation?

Demolished railroad roundhouse foundation? (Google Maps)
No Thumbnail
The size, shape and proximity to multiple railroads makes this look to me like the leftover foundation of a long demolished roundhouse. Google maps show it clearly but Bing maps aerial and Birds eye view show it overgrown. MSR Maps topographic maps of area don't show it.

No doubt a former roundhouse.

Info on it here and pictures before it was demolished.

That link refers to a different nearby roundhouse. Google Earth's historical imagery goes back to 1988 at this location. It was torn down before then.

Parts of East St. Louis are apocalyptic-like, an abandoned wasteland, almost like nothing else I've ever seen in America. Interesting exploring on foot.

Definitely a roundhouse foundation. But with all the mergers and abandonments in the railroad industry since the demise of the steam era, I can't tell you who owned it. Consider posting your query on trainorders.com/eastern discussion and you might have some luck.
