On Saturday 11th March 2023, Brian BX2AKP, a radio amateur from Taiwan reached the summit of 合歡山東峰 (Hé Huān Shān Dōng Fēng) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 17 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of 合歡山東峰 (Hé Huān Shān Dōng Fēng) is 3421 metres (11224 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
