On Sunday 12th March 2023, Brian BX2AKP, a radio amateur from Taiwan reached the summit of 合歡山 (Hé Huān Shān) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 15 contacts in total working on the 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of 合歡山 (Hé Huān Shān) is 3417 metres (11211 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
