The Acme Theatre opened in 1920, built for a prominent Riverton businesswoman, Belle Mote. The Acme Theatre continues in operation today, showing first-run movies. It is operated by Gabel Theaters, which also runs the Gem Theatre in Riverton and the Grand Theatre in Lander.

That theater is no longer owned and operated by Gabel Theaters, it is now owned and operated by Barry Cinemas. The owner is Adam Barry a long time Riverton businessman who has been the General Manager of all three local theaters for years.
