Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV

Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV

Saratoga Springs, New York (NY), US
The Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT and GTV were a pair of fastback coupes based on the Alfetta sedan. They were designed by Giorgietto Giugiaro and were in production from 1974 to 1987. Design cues for the GTV were taken from their Montreal supercar, such as the rear, lights, and door shape, which allowed the GTV to be more marketable. The first turbocharged Italian car powered by gasoline, the GTV Turbodelta, was a variant of the GTV introduced in 1979, and the base GT was discontinued the following year, leaving the range with either a GTV 2.0 or a V6-engined GTV6. However, three Montreal V8-engined prototypes of the GTV were produced in 1977, three years before the GTV6's release.
