Alfond Arena

On the campus of the University of Maine, this 5,124-seat arena is home to the school's ice hockey and basketball teams. The architecture of the building is unusual for an arena with its multi-angular roofs.

The arena is named after Harold Alfond, who founded the Dexter Shoe Company and is credited with opening the first factory outlet store. He had donated millions of dollars to the school and to local charities.
