Altab Ali is a small park in London in the Whitechapel area. The park is located on the ground of the former St. Mary chapel and its cemetery. The chapel was made from Kentish chalk, which where the area of Whitechapel gets its name. The chapel was badly damaged during The Blitz and the building was demolished after the war. However, signs of the church and cemetery still remain in the park today. Some of the graves are still there and some of the floor from the church is also there.

The park was originally named St. Mary, but was renamed Altab Ali in memory of a 25-year-old Bangladeshi clothing worker that was murdered near the site in 1978.
