On Monday 27th February 2023, Erik EA8/LB7PC/P, a radio amateur from Norway reached the summit of Altavista and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 4 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Altavista is 1370 metres (4495 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
