Some scenes from the first season of FX network's "American Horror Story" were filmed here. A replica of the interior of the house was built on a sound stage for the majority of the filming. The season starred Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, and Jessica Lange.
The house was built by architect Alfred Rosenheim in 1908 for his own residence after moving to California from St. Louis. The six bedroom house stands three stories tall. It has six fireplaces and is decked out in Tiffany glass fixtures.
