Viminacium was a major Roman and military camp in the province of Moesia in modern-day Serbia. The city dates back to the 1st century AD and it is thought to have had 40.000 inhabitants at its peak. The city was destroyed by Huns in the 5th century, but was rebuilt by Justinian. It was completely destroyed by the arrival of Slavs in the 6th century.

Today the site is an archaeological site. At the site, you can see the remains of temples, streets, squares, amphitheatres, palaces, hippodromes and Roman baths.
