Anta-Capela de Alcobertas (Dolmen)

A Neolithic dolmen located in the Portuguese town of Rio Maior. The dolmen was converted into a small side chapel of the town's church in the 16th century. The dolmen consists of seven tall orthostats acting as support stones. Smaller orthostats used as the corridor remain in front of it. The capstone has been removed and replaced with a pointy red tiled roof. An altar has been placed within the burial chamber. The orthostats are clearly visible.
