Ardfry House Estate

Ardfry House Estate

Galway, Ireland (IE)
Believed to have been built in 1770 by Joseph Blake, though he would have been 5 at the time. He later earned the title 1st Baron Wallscourt when he was elevated to the Peerage of Ireland in 1791. Later in the 1970′s the house was used in the film ‘Makintosh Man’. Plans in 2009 went underway to make Ardfry House and the surrounding buildings into houses and apartments, but it seems not to have happened yet. Hopefully it will not happen since this is beautiful history.
