On Wednesday 3rd August 2022 Henry OE/IW3AGO/P a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Bärenbadegg and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 33 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Bärenbadegg is 2431 metres (7976 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
