Bachman Manor is a 16,000 square foot home on 30 acres and was built in 1976 by Randy Bachman of the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) for $3 million initially as a weekend retreat, though by the time it was finished it had become the family's primary home and eventually became used as a recording studio for Randy and for guests who stayed there such as Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, members of the Beatles, and rocker Sammy Hagar.
Bachman-Turner Overdrive has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and are known for 1970's songs, such as, "Let It Ride", "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Takin' Care of Business" and "Roll On Down the Highway".
It is now under new ownership.
