I also understand this to be the set used in "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Gremlins", "Bruce Almighty" (subbing as downtown Buffalo), and I'm sure quite a number of other movies, since it's on a studio backlot.

Confirmed though not completely destroyed. It is in the last paragraph of this story:
