Coined as "The West's Fastest 1/3 Mile High Banked Clay Oval". Sprint cars have turned laps in less than 11 seconds on this bullring. Several classes of stock cars race here weekly.

Built in 1946, it was originally a 1/4 mile dirt track and spent some time over the years as a paved track. It was enlarged to it's current size in 1992. It has gone by several names - Oildale Speedway, Oil Bowl Speedway, Bakersfield Speedbowl, Bakersfield Thunderbowl and Hawks Brothers Speedway.
