On Sunday 3rd July 2022 Lee “Pi” DS4EXP a radio amateur from South Korea reached the summit of Balwangsan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 7 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
