Barry Sherman was a Canadian businessman and philanthropist who was chairman and CEO of Apotex Inc. With an estimated net worth of US$3.2 billion at the time of his death.

On 15 DEC 2017, the bodies of Sherman and his wife were discovered hanging from a railing next to their indoor swimming pool. It was determined they had died two days prior and had originally been deemed a murder/suicide, but later that the deaths were 'suspicious'. After 3 years of investigation of private investigators and medical examiners hired by the family, a person of interest has been identified by Toronto police, changing the deaths to 'targeted murders'.

The home seen in BEV has since been sold and demolished.
