"Beverly Hills Cop" film chase location

(spoiler alert) At the beginning of the film there is a famous police chase. The chase ends at this corner, where police have set up a roadblock. The movie was filmed in the 1980s and the neighborhood has badly deteriorated since then. The school seen in the background in the scene has since been demolished. Shortly before the chase ends, a truck slams into a green Ford parked on a street corner. That was shot 1 block away, at 30th/ Magnolia.
