Gert Fröbe was a German actor known for the movies Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines, The Longest Day and most of all in the 1964 James Bond 007 film Goldfinger.

The house is still in the hands of the family. Fröbes nephew and Grand nephew still lives in the house running a turner business.
