Absalon (1128-1201) was Bishop of Roskilde from 1158-1191 and Archbishop of Lund from 1177-1201.

1157 he received a small village named Hafn from King Valdemar I. 1167 he built a castle on the site. That castle is todays Copenhagen, capital of Denmark.
