The Black Watch is an infantry battalion of the the 3rd Battalion in the Royal Regiment of Scotland. They were created in 1739. The regiment's name came from the dark tartan they wore and their role to "watch" the Highlands. Their motto is "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" No one provokes me with impunity.
