The musician and singer-songwriter lived here. He was a member of Fleetwood Mac between 1971 and 1975, composing the FM radio staples Hypnotized and Sentimental Lady. After leaving the band, he scored three top 20 solo hits, including a rerecording of Sentimental Lady. His debut album, French Kiss, sold over a million copies in the late 1970s. In 2012, Welch died by suicide, shooting himself in his Nashville home. His wife, Wendy, died four years later of COPD and heart disease.
