On Wednesday 10th August 2022, Dan KN0MAP a radio amateur from Woodland Park, CO reached the summit of Brasstown Bald and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit Brasstown Bald is 1458 metres (4783 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
