The legendary football manager (1935-2004) purchased this house after Leeds United sacked him in 1974. He used the Leeds money to pay off the mortgage on his old Derby house on Ferrers Way, and moved into this much larger, 6-bedroom property. I don’t know how long he owned it, but probably until 1999.
