Brian D. Pfeifler is a retired EVP of Barnett Bank, once the largest commercial bank in Florida. It eventually became part of Bank of America.
His son, Brian C. Pfeifler, was named the top financial advisor in the the country by Barron in 2010. He is an managing director of Morgan Stanley who is married to Emilia Fanjul, the daughter of sugar baron Jose "Pepe" Fanjul, the vice chairman and president of Flo-Sun, a family-owned sugar growing and refining company, and of Florida Crystals in West Palm Beach, which is the majority owner of Domino Sugar. The 2 met at a party thrown by Diane von Fürstenberg in New York in 1998.
