Broads Railway Bridge (45)

This stone built arched bridge carries the electrified west coast mainline over a minor road near the village of Newbold Astbury.

The bridge carries mainline rail services running between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly amongst other destinations.

There is height restriction (3.43m /11’ 3’) for road users passing under the bridge on Oak Lane.

Here on Street View in July 2009 the overhead power lines are clearly visible above the bridge.
