The GMT 806 was the first chassis the Cadillac Escalade EXT, a sport-utility truck version of the Escalade, was available. Introduced in 2003 for the 2004 model year, it was based on the standard GMT 800, and continued the "luxury pickup" segment brought on by the short-lived Lincoln Blackwood.
