On Saturday 23rd July 2022 Fernando EA4HGT a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Cantu Cabroneru and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 5 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
