A bronze sculpture of Captain Walker which is the world of Tom Murphy a Liverpool sculptor Tom Murphy. It was unveiled in 1998 the late Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince Philip.

Captain Walker’s association with Liverpool came as a result of his service during WWII when he was engaged in anti-submarine warfare during the Battle of the Atlantic.

The sculpture depicts Captain Walker looking out to sea with binoculars in hand poised for action and is mounted on a granite plinth. It is listed on the Maritime Memorials website with reference M6308.
